Ethnic Stool 08 35x35x45cm

Stool upholstered with a loom handcrafted in Peru at 4000 meters above sea level. Its golden structure is metallic, giving the stool a light appearance, contrasting the rustic, warm and artisanal style of the loom with the industrial style of the legs. The stool’s band is made of a velvety field green fabric. Due to its height, it can be used both around the coffee table and to sit at a dining or work table. A very attractive and also practical piece for organizing meetings at home!

The stool measures 36x36x45cm (length x width x height) and the seat is 45cm above the ground.

The ethnic carpet with which it is upholstered is hand-woven in the South American Altiplano, between 3000 and 5000 meters above sea level. It has been woven on a wooden loom that is tied at one end to a pole and at the other end to the weaver’s waist. An alpaca bone has been used to braid the wool to make the drawings (cross and diamonds in orange and green). Being such a manual work, it may present small irregularities and “perfect imperfections”.

The looms are made of 100% sheep’s wool dyed with natural pigments. Its color may vary and it is sensitive to direct light.
