Ethnic pouf with a round base upholstered with a hand-woven loom on the top and sides in a velvety fabric in the colour of a cauldron. The lower part, which goes to the floor, is made of pine wood. The loom has narrow plain borders framed by a wider border with a geometric pattern. As for the colouring of the loom, warm and intense tones predominate: pinks, oranges, maroons and green. A very special and practical piece to give an ethnic touch to the house. It measures 41cm in diameter and 38cm high. Its structure is made of wood covered with foam. The ethnic carpet with which it is upholstered is hand-woven in the South American Altiplano, between 3000 and 5000 meters above sea level. It has been woven on a wooden loom that is tied at one end to a pole and at the other end to the weaver’s waist. An alpaca bone has been used to braid the wool to make the drawings (cross and diamonds in orange and green). Being such a manual work, it may present small irregularities and “perfect imperfections”. The looms are made of 100% sheep’s wool dyed with natural pigments. Its color may vary and it is sensitive to direct light.
