Ethnic arm chair 93x57x60cm

850,00

Louis XVI style ethnic armchair with white pickled wood structure. The backrests, front and back, and also the armrests are upholstered with a loom woven by hand high in the Andes. This loom has plain and marbled borders in strawberry, green, orange and purple tones. The seat is upholstered in a strawberry-coloured velvety fabric, the same one we have used to finish off the backrest and armrests.
The armchair is a unique, stately, original and comfortable piece. Look at the details, it is upholstered with a beautiful loom and the carving in the wood gives it an elegant classic touch.
The armchair measures 93cm in height, 53cm in width and 70cm in depth. The seat is 48cm from the ground.
The loom with which it is upholstered is handwoven in the South American Altiplano, between 3000 and 5000 meters above sea level. It has been woven on a wooden loom that is tied at one end to a pole and at the other at the waist of the weaver. To braid the wool when making the drawings, an alpaca bone has been used. As it is such a manual work, it can present small irregularities and “perfect imperfections”.
The looms are made of 100% sheep’s wool dyed with natural pigments. Its color can vary and it is sensitive to direct light.
