The carpet has strong pink colors and symbols representative of the Aymara culture are woven into it. It is a very elegant and original piece that is very bright. Its structure is made of solid wood and is kidney-shaped, with a slight curve. It is ideal for placing in front of or to the side of the coffee table or at the foot of the single bed.
Two of the same are available but are sold individually. If one has already been sold, it is not possible to make another one like it.
It measures 88 cm long, 50 cm deep and 48 cm high.
The ethnic carpet with which it is upholstered is hand-woven in the South American Altiplano, between 3000 and 5000 meters above sea level. It has been woven on a wooden loom that is tied at one end to a pole and at the other end to the weaver’s waist. An alpaca bone has been used to braid the wool to make the drawings (x’s and diamonds in pink and green). Being such a manual work, it may present small irregularities and “perfect imperfections”.
The looms are made of 100% sheep’s wool dyed with natural pigments. Its color may vary and it is sensitive to direct light.
