Artistic aluminum photography from the “Aislados en los Andes” collection. These photographs are taken and interpreted by photographer Poncho Montesserin in Peru. This is a series of spontaneous portraits of people in their daily lives, playing with their image surrounded by a white background that reflects how isolated they live at more than 3000 meters above sea level, high in the Andes.
The photographs are printed directly on a dibond plate, a material for printing high-quality photographs. It is preferred by interior designers due to its durability, print quality and elegant design.
It is made up of a sheet of two layers of aluminum, each 0.3 mm thick, which surround a 2.4 mm polyethylene sheet. One of the aluminum sheets serves as a base to place the wooden frame with which to hang the photograph, on the other sheet the direct printing will be made. Polyethylene provides thickness as well as lightness.
Direct printing is done on a white lacquered aluminum plate. That white is the base on which the different colors of the image are printed. This technique creates a relief on the print that fills the photograph with nuances and textures.
The photograph measures 12x18cm and is 2cm deep.
