Virgin Sculpture – 07

Sculpture of the Virgin with child handcrafted in the mountains of Peru with a dough of rice, potato and chuño. It is inspired by colonial culture, where Catholic culture and ancestral Andean beliefs converge, highly inspired by nature. This confluence can be seen in some features such as the baby Jesus, who appears to emerge from a chrysalis or in the flower shape that surrounds the Virgin’s head.

They are molded by hand, each piece is unique in its design and paint. This virgin is decorated with a black background and details in pink, white, purple, light blue, yellow and orange, with flower drawings that allude to spring and the birth of life.

This sculpture measures 19x8cm.
