Cusco blanket of 160x141cm of sheep’s wool woven high in the Andes, with smooth stripes in orange, red, turquoise, eggplant, purple blue and eggplant tones. Some borders have geometric designs woven in relief.

This Cusco blanket is handwoven in the South American Altiplano. It has been woven on a wooden loom that is tied at one end to a stick and at the other end to the weaver’s waist. A bone from an alpaca has been used to braid the wool when creating the patterns. Due to being such a manual task, it may present small irregularities and “perfect” imperfections.

Ethnic looms are composed of 100% sheep wool dyed with natural pigments. Their color may vary and is sensitive to direct light.
