Handbag made from a hand-woven bagolan loom, hand-woven and hand-painted in Mali. These fabrics are made by joining narrow cotton looms, about 10-15cm wide, dyed with natural pigments and then painted with different coloured muds. These fabrics are characteristic of the Bambara ethnic group. In their language the word Bagolán means ‘earth with mud’.

It is lined on the inside with a contrasting purple cotton fabric. The handles are made of bamboo and it has a closing magnet.

The bag measures 27cm wide, 19cm high and has 6cm gusset. With handle its height is 29cm.
