It’s exciting for us to bring together the work of artisans living in remote places and Spanish craftsmen into one product. We’re amazed to see how many aspects they have in common. They learned their techniques at a young age, they are very meticulous, and although most of the time they work with their hands, they put a lot of thought and even their hearts into what they do. They don’t work in series; they strive to center a design, seek symmetry, get the finish right, or see how they can improve a design.
Thanks to physical proximity, our seamstress, upholsterer, blacksmith, and carpenter are in Madrid; we meet with each of them weekly. Together, we strive to make unique products that are functional for our customers and enhance the artisanal looms we work with to the fullest.
