Child Sculpture – 07

Sculpture of the baby Jesus or “huaguagualta” handmade in the mountains of Peru with a dough of rice, potato and chuño. It is inspired by colonial culture, where Catholic culture and ancestral Andean beliefs converge, highly inspired by nature. This confluence can be seen in some details, such as the fact that the child is reminiscent of a chrysalis, wrapped and with a crown that opens in an organic shape, like a flower.

It is molded by hand, each piece is unique in its design and polychrome. This child is decorated in magenta tones with gold and white brushstrokes.

Its dimensions are 14 long and 5 wide.
